ABOUT ME
DENNIS GERAADS
Hi! I`m a drummer, producer, and sound engineer living and working in a small city called Echt, The Netherlands.
At the age of 3 my dad gave me my first chance experiencing music, in particular playing the drums. Thanks to him I became obsessed with music and tried to learn the craft throughout the years. At the age of 10 I started rehearsing with bands and at age 12 I joined a pretty well known bluesband that I played quite a few gigs with.
From then on I knew that I wanted to make music my living. A lot of hard work in playing and practicing and a bit of luck later I succeeded in making a reasonable living playing drums.
Another interest that sort of came in parallel early on besides playing drums, was the interest in listening to sound, sound recording, and changing sounds. At the age of 16 I bought myself a Fostex mixing desk and a JVC double tapedeck and started recording my own drums or occasionaly a local band or musician. I loved it as much as playing drums and couldn`t choose between the two so I did both. I tried to record as much as I could and at some point bought my first Protools setup for recording / mixing. Ofcourse that opened up the world for me, recorded or mixed a lot of demos throughout those years and later on started my own recording and mixing studio.
